Bournemouth University is heading for another win, for the 4th consecutive year, in the Association for Project Management (APM) University Project Challenge 2011-12.
The APM theme this year is ‘My City’ and the Challenge was launched at a Sustainable Business networking event held at BU in October.
Twelve teams of BA (Hons) Business Studies with Project Management students presented their project proposals to a panel comprising Dan Jane of the APM, Jean Morgan from LV= and Marc Vernaeve of WDS, who shortlisted five teams to go to the semi-finals.
At the semi-finals, the APM judges selected three of the BU teams to compete in the finals. These three teams will each have a budget of up to £500 to help with their project and will be allocated a professional mentor.
The semi-finalists are ProVision, Ambition and Logic.
The finals will take place in February and we’re hoping to build on our success at the 2010-11 finals. Good luck to the three teams competing.
