Bournemouth is a large coastal resort town in the county of Dorset, on the south coast of England. According to the 2001 Census, the town has a population of 163,444, making it the largest settlement in Dorset. The city, with a wide offering of hotels and B&Bs, is well connected to the rest of UK through regular and low-cost railway and highway. Its modern international airport is conveniently located at only 20 minutes from downtown and the conference center. Bournemouth is a tourist and regional centre for leisure, entertainment, culture and recreation. The mild climate of the region and the vicinity of beaches with white sands and crystal clear sea are a huge reward for CGI 2012 attendees.
