BU Visiting Professor edits newly published book

Professor Jonathan Cole has co-edited a recently published book entitled ‘The Paradoxical Brain’ which focuses on a range of phenomena in clinical and cognitive neuroscience which seek to go against the grain of established thinking.

The book features contributions from numerous leading researchers and covers a wide scope of topics in the field, ranging from areas such as Superior performance after brain lesions or sensory loss to Paradoxical phenomena associated with human development

Jonathan is a consultant in clinical neurophysiology at Poole Hospital and a visiting professor at BU. He was made a professor first in DEC in relation to work on phantom limb pain and virtual reality some years ago and is now also attached to CoPMRE. His research interests at Bournemouth are in phantom bladder pain, with Fran Biley at the Centre for Qualitative Research, sensory substitution with Venky Dubey and Tamas Hickish at DEC and face blindness with Sarah Bate in Psychology.
