The winner of this years Bournemouth University placement student prize is Jabir Siraz-Ullah, who performed outstandingly on his placement with Eli Lilly & Company.
Jabir graduated from BA Hons Marketing this today, said upon learning of winning the prize:
“I was surprised considering the scale, especially when there are nearly 2000 students eligible for the award. Many other students I know had different experiences and I am grateful for the opportunity and recognition Eli Lilly & Company and Bournemouth University have given me.”
Jabir credited his placement with giving him the ability to utilise the academic theory learnt in his BA Hons Marketing course, and felt it allowed him to grow personally and professionally, thanking Phil, Tunde and Nishta at Lilly for his development.
Having finished his academic career with great success, Jabir is continuing this into his professional career,
“I am currently on the Vodafone UK graduate scheme at their head office in Newbury. At this stage I look forward to developing myself further at Vodafone UK and possibly undertaking an MBA within the next 10 years.”
