The REF2029 team has launched an informal sector survey to gather targeted feedback on a small number of policy areas for final development, in order to get feedback on the clarity, robustness and implementation of a small number of proposals that have emerged through the criteria-setting process.

The survey topics cover:

• draft assessment criteria for Strategy, People and Research Environment (SPRE)
• SPRE arrangements for institutions submitting to a single Unit of Assessment (UoA)
• submitting outputs to more than one Unit of Assessment
• equality-related unit reductions
• collection of research income data
• 100-word statements for submissions to UoA 12 – Engineering

If you would like to contribute to the institutional response, please can you share your thoughts with REF@bournemouth.ac.uk by Tuesday 1 September so we can collate responses into an institutional response for submission before 4 September 2026.
