“Ingenious is a grant scheme for creative public engagement with engineering projects.
If you have an imaginative idea that helps engineers to communicate their expertise and passion for engineering to a wider audience – we want to hear from you. You could be an engineer interested in running your own project, or a science and engineering communicator keen to explore ways to provide public engagement training and opportunities.
Ingenious has funded over 90 projects to date, providing opportunities for over 1,500 engineers to take part in thought-provoking activities, to gain skills in communication and to bring engineering to the very centre of society.
Find out more about our work in engineering engagement on our blog. You can also read about previous projects in the case studies and hear what grant holders and engineers have to say about their Ingenious experience in four mini-films.
We welcome proposals from engineers and engineering organisations and institutions, universities, science and engineering communicators, public engagement specialists, colleges and schools.
“Ingenious offers focus and helped us deliver against what we’re trying to achieve” – Ingenious Grant holder

- inspire creative public engagement with engineering projects
