Charmain supports the Faculty of Management UK-CHEP project lead by providing hands-on management of the administration and coordination of the UK-CHEP project initiatives, and liaises with the UK Partners (Leeds, Sheffield, York) university professors, UK/China funders and the stakeholders.
Charmain also schedules, chairs and participates on video/teleconference calls with the stakeholders, funders and UK partners. Minute takes and produces action logs and monitors the project delivery progress, ensuring that all actions and decisions are clearly recorded, communicated and completed. Charmain is also responsible for collating and preparing the project quarterly progress report content.
Currently, Charmain has been working at BU since 2010, and excluding a one year E-Commerce Site Administrator secondment in Marketing & Communications, has worked in RDS. Before Charmain joined BU, she worked in both the private and public sector, her roles included FE college management; Business Development; Client Services; Project Management, Staff Training and HR. Charmain also worked as a UK/International Events Manager which enabled her to live and work in European cities including Monte Carlo and also in the United States.
Outside of BU, Charmain is a Adult Education support tutor and Learning Support Assistant to English, ICT, ESOL and Mathematics learners.
