The April Community Voices Webinar will welcome Ellie Douglas to share the wonderful things that are happening with the United Players Football Programme.
The United Players is for unaccompanied asylum-seeking children and young refugees from across Bournemouth, Christchurch, Poole, Southampton and Portsmouth.
With a growing (currently 48) membership of young people aged 16-22 the team plays weekly in the Kings Park Sunday league. The programme harnesses the unifying force of football – bringing people form different backgrounds together to share a common passion; representing resilience, hope and the power of collaboration, and supporting a sense of belonging and community.
Community voices is a collaboration between BU PIER partnership and Centre for Seldom Heard Voices to provide a platform and a voice to local community activists.
