REF adds ‘midwifery’ to Unit of Assessment 3 name

Late last week, after years of being lobbied, the Research Excellence Framework (REF) has renamed its sub-panel 2 to ensure midwifery is explicitly recognised within its assessment structure ahead of REF 2029.  Sub-panel 3, previously titled “Allied Health Professions, Dentistry, Nursing & Pharmacy”, will now be known as “Allied Health Professions, Dentistry, Midwifery, Nursing & Pharmacy”.   Bournemouth University is represented on this prestigious sub-panel by Prof. Vanora Hundely for the Centre for Midwifery & Women’s Health.
