Scival is a tool, reporting from the Scopus database, which enables benchmarking and comparison on an individual or group basis across many institutions or other groupings. It includes a wide range of metrics and our subscription comes with three modules, which are:
Overview – Get an overview of the research performance of your institution and others based on output, impact, and collaborations.
Benchmarking – Determine your strengths and weaknesses. Compare your research institution and teams to others based on performance metrics. Model different test scenarios.
Collaboration – Identify and analyze existing and potential collaboration opportunities. Identify suitable collaboration partners. See who others are collaborating with.
There is an online manual on the opening page and access to various video introductions in the ‘Getting Started with Scival’ link. We will be running some training workshops later in the year.

Good morning. I’ve tried registering for this but I have been able to. It states that “This email address is associated with a profile managed by a third party for which we do not store the user name and password”. It does not recognise the password I use at BU, nor will it let me reset the password. Can you kindly advise?
