The Department for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy has published its strategy for the Global Challenges Research Fund.
This sets out how the fund will boost research to address the UN Sustainable Development Goals and respond quickly to emergencies. The GCRF was launched in 2016 and will invest £1.5 billion between 2016 and 2021 on collaborative research and innovation through UK universities and research organisations.
The UK strategy for GCRF can be read here. The statement of intent for the Research and Innovation: Official Development Assistance (ODA) can be read here.
Research Professional have provided a useful summary of the two documents, which can be found here.
