During the week 16th November 2015 to 20th November 2015 I will visit Bogazici University in Istanbul. The visit will have a three fold agenda 1) lecturing within their Foodservice and HR Management programmes 2) exploration of opportunities for inward and outward student mobility and recruitment 3) collaborative research discussion.
Turkey continues to develop its application for membership of the European Union therfore building strong international student mobility and recruitment opportunities as well as strong bonds in teaching and research collaboration with this strategic partner institution is essential.
Istanbul is one of the great cities of the world and I am very much looking forward to meeting, and engaging with, the student and academic fraternity there. I am hoping that this visit will not only develop my own undestanding of international teaching practice but it will enhance my own subject specific knowledge from an international perspective which can them be incorportated into learning at BU.
