Dr. Miguel Moital, Principal Academic in Events Management in the Department of Sport & Events Management, BUBS, was interviewed by leading Portuguese newspaper Público. Público runs a popular Saturday supplement called ‘Fugas’ (‘Escapes’ in English), where they cover all topics related to travel, food, wine, leisure, hotels and bars.
The 16 May edition (which celebrates the 20th anniversary of the magazine) features a 2 page piece on the expected changes in travel patterns as a consequence of COVID19. Several quotes from Miguel’s interview were included, with the piece also featuring quotes from three other experts: Luís Araújo, President of the Portuguese Tourism Board, Sandra Carvão, Director of the Market Intelligence and Competitiveness unit of the World Tourism Organisation and Jorge Costa, President of Consultancy company IPDT.
