Following the huge successes with student engagement at Bestival this summer, RKEO has brought BU’s ‘science stand’ to campus. Today saw academics and PhD students sharing their exciting research with BU’s students in the Atrium.
Marine archaeologists shared their experiences of diving for tanks in Poole Harbour while scientists led microscope and microbe activities. Other activities included taste testing and psychological reasoning tests.
If you missed out today, the science stands will be back in the Atrium on Tuesday 9th December from 10am. See cyber-security in action, learn more about the dives undertaken in Poole Harbour by BU archaeologists and students, or try your hand at psychological activities including taste testing.
If you feel inspired to lead your own public engagement activity, there’s still time to submit your ideas to next year’s Festival of Learning.
